Kauai Photo Diary

Here are some of my favorite photos from our trip to Kauai at the end of January. My recommendation would be not to go in the winter because it's very rainy and the tides are pretty high every day. Some of the really neat things we missed out on because it was winter but we still had an amazing trip!

The first day we hiked up the Na Pali Coast to Hanakapiai Beach and then to Hanakapiai Falls. The hike to the falls was definitely the most intense thing I think I have ever done in my life. It challenged me to overcome the fears in my head and go for it, even though it was extremely dangerous looking back now. If you're going to do any hiking in Kauai, I would definitely recommend a good pair of hiking boots. Sam and I got matching Saloman ones, which you can check out here
The photo below was taken at Tunnel's Beach with the Na Pali Coast in the background. If you've been my vlog then you know I kept saying it looks like Jurassic Park but it really does.
Below: Driving up to the Kalalau Valley Lookout was the highlight of this trip for me. It took us almost an hour to get there because there isn't really signs saying where this specific lookout is but from doing my research I knew exactly what it looked like in my head. We literally stopped at about 5 different places looking for this view. Walking up to the edge of this mountain was absolute breath taking. These are the things I live for. Standing here was hands down the most beautiful site I have ever seen in my life. It just didn't seem real.
Like I said earlier Sam and I did a ton of research on Kauai before we went and after seeing Queen's Bath I knew I had to get the picture below. It took us a while to find it and to be honest I was a little scared of getting in the water because the waves were crashing in so high and a lot of people have been swept out to sea. If you go here, I would not recommend getting in the water during winter. We were extremely careful when getting in and had another couple there with us just in case. I'm also wearing my favorite bathing suit in this picture from ASOS too.

If you're thinking of going to Kauai and have any questions of things to do, definitely let me know and I'd be happy to help :) hope you enjoyed my photos.
