Top of the Rock

Since I left my hometown of Orlando and have lived in LA, DC and now NYC... one of my favorite things to do is explore. As many times as I've visited NYC I have never been to the top of the Empire State Building so I did some research on it last week. The weather has been so great so I knew I wanted to do something fun and outdoorsy this weekend. After comparing views of both the ESB and Top of the Rock (and asking a few people) I decided last minute to check out Top of the Rock instead so I could actually see the Empire State Building.

Getting there was pretty easy and hassle-free, we bought tickets online and walked right in and up we went. The elevator itself was pretty cool (see above) because you can see yourself going up but it's also a little scary for someone like me who hates heights which is ironic, I know. The view once we stepped out of the elevator was spectacular! I wish it had been a little sunnier but couldn't complain. There's 3 tiers that you can check out and both have views of Central Park and the Empire State Building. I definitely recommend going if you're in the city. It's $32 and the pictures are priceless!
